Role Description:
Telesales Team Leader is responsible for managing, motivating, and guiding a team of Telesales Representatives to meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role involves a mix of leadership, coaching, strategy implementation, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set Targets:
    Define and communicate clear daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and KPIs for the team and individual representatives.
  • Strategy Implementation:
    Develop, implement, and monitor effective telesales strategies and campaigns to maximize lead generation and conversion.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Track and analyze team and individual sales performance data, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
  • Reporting:
    Compile and present comprehensive sales reports (e.g., call volume, conversion rates, revenue) to senior management.
  • Coaching and Mentoring:
    Provide regular, constructive
    coaching
    , feedback, and one-on-one sessions to enhance selling techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills.
  • Motivation:
    Inspire and
    motivate
    the team, fostering a positive, high-energy, and competitive work environment.
  • Training:
    Coordinate and deliver ongoing training on products/services, sales scripts, and best practices.
  • Recruitment:
    Assist in the
    recruitment
    and onboarding of new Telesales Representatives.
  • Discipline:
    Manage team schedules, monitor attendance, and address performance or disciplinary issues in line with company policy.
  • Escalations:
    Handle
    escalated customer complaints
    and complex queries professionally, ensuring resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Monitor call quality and adherence to company policies, sales scripts, and compliance regulations.
  • CRM Management:
    Ensure the team accurately utilizes the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for logging calls, managing leads, and updating customer information.
  • Collaboration:
    Liaise with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer Service) to optimize lead quality and the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Minimum of
    2-5 years of proven experience
    in a high-volume telesales or call center environment.
  • Minimum of 2
    years of experience leading or supervising a sales team
    (Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Sales Representative role).
  • Demonstrated history of
    achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets
    (KPIs).
  • Strong working knowledge of
    CRM software
    (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for reporting.
