Role Description

  • Manage and control import & export operations across Egypt & GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain) ensuring smooth and timely movement of goods.
  • Select and Coordinate customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and trucking companies to guarantee compliance and cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Prepare, review, and manage all shipping documentation (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, COO, HS Codes, SABER, VOC/PVOC, ACI, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with GCC trade regulations, customs systems, and free zone requirements, minimizing risks of penalties or delays.
  • Oversee multimodal shipments (air, sea, land) including bonded trucking, cross-border transport, and trip-based freight models.
  • Negotiate freight contracts and rates with forwarders and carriers to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Monitor and resolve operational issues such as customs clearance delays, re-exports, or documentation gaps.
  • Develop and track KPIs & reports on logistics performance, cost efficiency, and lead times for management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, sales, finance, operations) to align logistics with business goals.
  • Stay updated on regional regulatory changes (Saudi ZATCA, SABER, Dubai Customs, etc.) and implement process improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders (ports, free zones, customs, carriers).
  • Lead and support initiatives for continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in import/export operations across GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain).
  • Strong background in customs clearance, freight forwarding, and port/free zone operations especially in GCC countries.
  • Hands-on experience working with brokers, shipping lines, and global freight forwarders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sea, air, and land freight shipments in the Gulf region.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCC customs systems (Dubai Customs, Saudi ZATCA, SABER, Bayan, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HS codes, duties, Incoterms, and GCC trade compliance.
  • Experience in handling certificates and permits such as COO, VOC/PVOC, G-Mark, SABER, ECAS, and ACI.
  • Strong understanding of bonded trucking, trip-based freight models, and cross-border land freight within the GCC.
