GomSpace North America is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Director for Latin America (LATAM) to expand GomSpace's business footprint across the region. This strategic role is responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing partnerships, and leading sales activities with both commercial and institutional customers.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the smallsat ecosystem, regional market dynamics, and a strong network within Latin America's growing space and defense communities.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing a regional business development strategy to grow GomSpace's presence across Latin America.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with government space agencies, defense organizations, commercial operators, universities, and research institutions.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to negotiation and contract award.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, engineering, and program management teams to deliver customer-aligned solutions.
  • Represent GomSpace at regional industry events, conferences, and workshops.
  • Provide insights into market trends, competitive landscape, and partnership opportunities.

Your Profile

As a person, you have excellent negotiation and communication skills, and you're fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus). The ideal candidate will have an established network within Latin America's space sector and the ability to develop new contacts and partnerships across scientific, government and commercial domains. They should also be willing to travel frequently within the region and internationally (30–40%).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in satellite or aerospace sales and business development.
  • Proven success in selling small satellite systems, components, platforms, and mission solutions to commercial or government customers.
  • Strong understanding of LEO/smallsat technologies and regional procurement processes.
  • Established relationships with key stakeholders in the Latin American space and defense ecosystem.
  • Experience working with national space agencies, research institutions, or regional consortiums.
