We're Hiring – Junior Asset Accountant – AFAQ Food & Beverage

Location: Cairo, Egypt (5th Settlement)

We're seeking a motivated Junior Asset Accountant to join our finance team and take responsibility for managing and maintaining the company's fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities:


• Review, update, and implement fixed asset accounting policies and procedures


• Record and categorize newly acquired assets


• Track and maintain asset records, including descriptions, locations, and valuations


• Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger


• Coordinate and oversee physical inventories of assets


• Calculate and record depreciation in line with accounting standards


• Prepare journal entries for adjustments, reclassifications, and disposals


• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes


• Support financial reporting and respond to audit requests


• Monitor asset expenditures and ensure proper capitalization


• Participate in improving fixed asset management processes

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance


• 0–2 years of experience


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail


• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP experience is a plus
