Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Interior Designer based at the CO-LAB showroom in Somabay.

The Junior Interior Designer will be the primary design support within the showroom, responsible for translating client inspiration into actionable packages. This role is highly client-facing and focuses on sales enablement, presentation, and design consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation: Engage with homeowners directly in the showroom, understanding their needs and guiding them through the selection of finishes, materials, and accessories.
• Package Customization: Present, modify, and customize existing furniture packages and finishing editions to meet client budgets and spatial requirements.
• Space Planning: Create rapid, accurate space plans and floor layouts to demonstrate how showroom furniture selections will fit the client's unit.
• Visual Aids: Prepare material boards, mood boards, and quick 3D sketches to help clients visualize their final design.
• FF&E Specification: Manage the selection and specification of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) directly from CO-LAB inventory and supplier catalogs.
• Showroom Maintenance: Assist in the presentation and organization of the showroom displays and sample library.

Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory for client communication. Proficiency in Arabic or other European languages (German, French) is a significant advantage.
• Client-Facing Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with a passion for guiding clients through the design and sales process.
• Space Planning: Proven ability in quick and efficient space planning and layout creation.
• FF&E Knowledge: Knowledge of FF&E selection, material specification, and vendor coordination.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar is required for fast plan generation.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in interior design, preferably in a retail, showroom, or client-consultation environment.
