Job Summary:

  • The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger and supporting all financial reporting activities. This role ensures the accurate and timely recording of all general journal transactions and guarantees full compliance with internal control procedures, financial reporting standards, and relevant accounting and regulatory requirements.

Job Description: (tasks, responsibilities, duties):

  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and internal control procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze general ledger transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Manage fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations. Ensure accurate recording of fixed asset transactions and compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
  • Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations, prepaid expenses, Accruals and provisions
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Participates in the monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Process expense reports
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all operating accounts.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and audit requests
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs any other duties or any tasks assigned to him by management.

Requirements
:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in managing financial systems, general accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and data analysis.
  • Accounting Knowledge:
    Strong working knowledge of accepted accounting principles
  • Tax Knowledge:
    Good understanding of applicable local tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in financial management and reporting tools. Proven ERP experience is mandatory, with Odoo preferred.
  • Language
    : Good command of English (written and verbal).
