About this rule:

To support and optimise the pricing structure and operational execution of import/export shipments. The role will blend analytical pricing tasks with hands-on operations coordination—ensuring that sequences of freight forwarding, customs clearance, and shipping are executed efficiently and profitably

Key Responsibilities

Pricing duties:

  • Develop, maintain and update rate sheets, service quotes and tariff structures for import/export shipments.
  • Having experience with shipping lines
  • Having experience in export and import operation
  • Analyze costs of shipping lines, transport legs, customs clearance and warehousing to propose competitive yet profitable pricing.
  • Monitor market trends (shipping line rates, fuel/SC changes, currency) and competitor pricing to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Prepare cost-benefit and margin reports for management decisions, highlight risks and opportunities in pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines in discounting and approvals, liaise with finance for costing and billing.

Operations duties:

  • Oversee the end-to-end import & export operations: coordinate shipments, liaise with shipping lines/agents, customs clearance, warehousing and trucking.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, timely execution of service orders from booking through delivery.
  • Monitor operational KPIs: turnaround times, cost over-runs, service levels, and take action to correct deviations.
  • Communicate with customers/sales under operations' side to provide support on shipment status, quotes and cost implications.
  • Work with internal teams (sales, finance, customs, warehouse) to streamline workflows and reduce delays/costs.

Qualifications & Skills

·      Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

·      Proven experience (ideally 2+ years) in freight forwarding/import-export operations, shipping lines knowledge. (The role posting referenced 2 years minimum.)

·      

·      Strong analytical skills—able to work with cost sheets, tariffs, Excel and comfortable interpreting data.

·      Good command of English (for communication with international shipping lines/agents) and Arabic.

·      Proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-moving operations environment
