To ensure the technical integrity and smooth execution of projects by linking design with site operations, managing all technical documentation, and supporting cost control through accurate quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

Design & Documentation Management:

  • Shop Drawings:
    Prepare, review, and finalize detailed shop drawings based on contract drawings, ensuring full coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
  • As-Built Drawings:
    Oversee the preparation and archiving of "As-Built" drawings upon completion of work.
  • Document Control:
    Maintain an organized system for project documents, including specifications, drawings, and correspondence, ensuring the site team uses the latest revisions.

Quantity Surveying (QS) & Cost Control:

  • BOQ Preparation:
    Conduct accurate quantity surveying and prepare/update the
    Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
    for tender submissions and material procurement.
  • Invoicing:
    Prepare and review monthly invoices and payment certificates for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with executed works and contractual terms.
  • Material Take-Offs:
    Perform precise material take-offs to support the procurement department's purchasing plan.

Site and Technical Support:

  • RFIs:
    Prepare and follow up on
    Requests for Information (RFI)
    to the consultant/client to clarify missing information or resolve design conflicts promptly.
  • Submittals:
    Prepare, compile, and follow up on all technical submittals, including material samples (
    Material Submittals
    ) and technical data, for client/consultant approval.
  • Problem Solving:
    Provide immediate technical support and effective solutions to site engineers to overcome execution challenges while maintaining quality standards.

Tendering & Contracts:

  • Assist the tendering team in reviewing tender documents, scope of work, and specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of
    Variation Orders
    and claims documentation.

Qualifications

[Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree,Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a Technical Office role within the Construction or Contracting Industry, with a strong focus on high-quality Finishing Works (Architectural and Electromechanical finishes).

High accuracy and diligence in quantity surveying (BOQ), reviewing drawings, and preparing invoices/submittals to prevent costly errors and discrepancies.
