Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled 
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
 to join our Design Team within a leading engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and leading mechanical design solutions for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of mechanical systems and international codes, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other building services.
  • Perform, verify, and optimize mechanical engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations such as cooling/heating loads, duct and pipe sizing, pump/head calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical design drawings, technical specifications, reports, and tender documents.
  • Provide technical guidance and support across all project phases — from concept design and detailed design through construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate closely with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to deliver fully coordinated and integrated mechanical solutions.
  • Review contractor shop drawings, materials submittals, method statements, and participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Stay current with new technologies, sustainable design practices, energy-efficient systems, and industry best practices to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in 
    Mechanical Engineering
     (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineering License or Chartership (e.g., 
    PE
    , 
    CEng
    ) is highly desirable.
  • 8–12 years of proven experience in 
    mechanical building services design
    .
  • Proficiency in relevant design and simulation software such as 
    Revit
    , 
    AutoCAD
    , 
    HAP
    , 
    Elite
    , 
    CFD tools
    , and 
    Pipe Flow Expert
    , as applicable.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
