As a Senior Architectural Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects comply with architectural and engineering standards, codes, and specifications. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, documenting findings, and collaborating with project teams to address issues and uphold quality standards throughout the construction process. This position demands a high level of expertise in architectural design, construction techniques, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with architectural plans, codes, and regulations.
  • Evaluate workmanship, materials, and construction methods to confirm they meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, documenting observations, discrepancies, and any required corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to construction teams regarding architectural standards and specifications.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of quality assurance protocols.
  • Stay updated on current industry standards, building codes, and best practices in architectural inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in architectural inspection or a related role within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of architectural standards, building codes, and construction practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on inspection findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inspection-related software.

Preferred Technical Requirements

  • Proficient in using field inspection tools related to architectural works
  • Skilled in AutoCAD for architectural visualization and verification
  • Thorough understanding of international finishing and quality standards (ASTM, BS, SBC)
Practical Experience
  • Inspecting architectural finishes and ensuring compliance with approved specifications and standards
  • Reviewing architectural drawings and detailed design implementations on-site
  • Identifying defects in finishes and recommending technical corrective actions
  • Preparing comprehensive technical inspection reports and presenting findings
