Human Resources Specialist

About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Recruitment & Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for hospitality positions and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all staff.
You will play a key part in building strong, service-driven teams while maintaining compliance with labor laws, payroll standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Manage full-cycle recruitment for all hospitality roles — including front-of-house, back-of-house, and management positions.
2- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
Write and post engaging job descriptions aligned with the company's culture and brand.
3- Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers for selection decisions.
4- Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
5- Build a talent pipeline for seasonal and high-turnover roles.
Payroll Administration
6- Process biweekly/monthly payroll for all restaurant and hospitality staff accurately and on time.
7- Verify employee timecards, tips, commissions, and attendance records.
8- Manage employee data in HR and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
9- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
10- Prepare and distribute pay slips and tax-related documentation.
11- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, hospitality industry regulations, and company policies.
HR Support
12- Assist with onboarding new hires, including tax forms, direct deposit setup, and payroll registration.
13- Support employee record management and HR reporting.
14- Work with finance and operations teams on budget forecasting and labor cost reporting.
15- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR and payroll data with integrity.
Qualifications & Skills:
1- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2- 4 years of experience in recruitment and/or payroll, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
3- Strong understanding of payroll systems and employment legislation.
4- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
6- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
