Job Description

We're hiring an
Air Import Specialist
to join our operations team in Cairo.

The role involves coordinating international air shipments, managing import documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and clients — guaranteeing every shipment is handled efficiently and in full compliance.

(Training will be provided to familiarize you with IOR operations and global compliance procedures.)

Responsibilities

Shipment Coordination (Primary Focus):

  • Handle daily air import shipments and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and agents.
  • Monitor shipment milestones, customs clearance status, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and reporting in internal systems.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Review and validate shipping and customs documents (AWB, CI, PL, COO, etc.).
  • Ensure all operations comply with customs regulations and company SOPs.
  • Support import compliance workflows and liaise with customs brokers when required.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Serve as a communication link between clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Provide timely shipment updates and resolve operational issues effectively.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in air freight import operations (freight forwarder or logistics company).
  • Solid understanding of international shipping documents and Incoterms.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under pressure.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with customs brokerage or import compliance.
  • Familiarity with Free Zone or bonded warehouse operations.
