Job Purpose

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fit-out, interior design, and construction projects. The role supports the tendering process by analyzing drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure reliable pricing, cost control, and alignment with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Tendering

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing breakdowns.

Conduct quantity take-offs for architectural, fit-out, and construction works.

Analyze material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs.

Prepare cost comparisons and value engineering proposals when required.

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

Request, receive, and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Coordinate with procurement and technical teams to validate pricing and specifications.

Maintain an updated database of suppliers, subcontractors, and cost benchmarks.

Technical & Commercial Coordination

Coordinate with design, technical, and project teams to clarify scope and assumptions.

Identify risks, exclusions, and commercial constraints in tenders.

Support pre-bid and post-bid meetings when required.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare final tender submissions and cost summaries.

Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, and tender documents.

Support post-tender analysis and cost feedback for awarded and non-awarded projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

3–7 years of experience in estimation (Fit-Out, Interior Design, or Construction preferred).

Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost estimation, and tendering procedures.

Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with estimation software is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately.

Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.

Experience with KSA projects is an advantage.
