Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced
Senior PHP Laravel Developer
to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain complex web and mobile applications API using
    PHP
    and the
    Laravel framework
    .
  • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that follows industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and best practices.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
  • Work with databases such as MySQL, including complex queries, migrations, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose ways to implement them to enhance development efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with the
    Laravel framework
    (latest versions preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OOP principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React is a plus).
  • Solid experience with version control tools, preferably Git.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations and postman collection creations.
  • Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized application deployment.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest) and writing unit/integration tests.
  • Experience with deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).
  • Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached).
  • Experience with task/job queues (Laravel Queues, Horizon).
