Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Backend Developer (Laravel)
to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems using Laravel, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications, and integrating with various front-end and third-party systems.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, Product, and QA) to build scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications aligned with our product goals and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality backend systems and APIs using
    Laravel Framework
    .
  • Maintain and enhance existing systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and optimize
    RESTful APIs
    for mobile and web applications.
  • Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, APIs, authentication, etc.).
  • Work with
    MySQL / MariaDB
    databases, optimizing queries and data structures.
  • Collaborate with
    Frontend Developers
    ,
    Product Managers
    , and
    DevOps Engineers
    to deliver complete solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to
    coding standards
    ,
    version control (Git)
    , and
    CI/CD practices
    .
  • Perform
    code reviews
    , mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
  • Implement and maintain
    automated testing
    and quality assurance processes.
  • Participate in architecture and system design discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years
    of professional experience in backend development with Laravel (PHP 8+).
  • Strong understanding of
    MVC architecture
    and
    OOP principles
    .
  • Proficiency in
    MySQL / MariaDB
    , database design, and query optimization.
  • Experience with
    RESTful API design
    ,
    JWT/OAuth2 authentication
    , and
    API security
    .
  • Familiarity with
    microservices
    ,
    queue systems (Redis, RabbitMQ, or SQS)
    , and
    caching mechanisms
    .
  • Experience with
    AWS
    ,
    Docker
    , or other cloud hosting environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of
    unit testing
    and
    CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    Git
    , branching strategies, and collaborative workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
