Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Alexandria for an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations. The specialist will conduct workplace inspections, identify potential hazards, and deliver safety training sessions to employees. The role also includes evaluating and reporting on occupational health risks, managing EHS compliance, and proposing improvements to enhance workplace safety and environmental health.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health practices
  • Expertise in Workplace Safety policies, Safety Training, and ensuring health and safety regulatory compliance
  • Proficient in hazard identification and conducting thorough workplace inspections
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver engaging safety training programs
  • Familiarity with industry standards and government regulations related to health and safety
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA or NEBOSH are a strong advantage
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and independently on-site
