Junior Healthcare Technical Support & Integration Engineer

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt

Experience: 0–2 years in healthcare software technical support/field service (Radiology)

Note: Only candidates based in Egypt will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade company software products (remote or onsite).
  • Integrate products with PACS, hospital systems, and vendor platforms (using DICOM, HL7, and URL integrations).
  • Validate product setup through testing to ensure smooth performance and compliance with client requirements.
  • Provide technical support by diagnosing and resolving issues, analyzing logs and configurations, and escalating when necessary.
  • Manage customer requests and escalations professionally, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Perform routine system health checks and follow-ups to proactively prevent issues.
  • Perform system backups before applying updates or changes at customer sites to ensure data integrity and continuity.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (installation steps, workflows, integrations, site details) in company tools (RHR, Trello).
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure successful deployments and ongoing satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a technical support/field service engineer role (Radiology).
  • Eager to expand knowledge in healthcare technologies.
  • Experience with Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) and VMware/ESXi.
  • Basic knowledge of networking (IP, DNS, firewall rules, ports) and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IIS for hosting/configuring applications.
  • SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting databases.
  • Ability to use Windows troubleshooting tools like Event Viewer.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in English (Spoken & Written).

Bonus Skills Knowledge of (Nice to Have)

  • Mirth Connect for HL7 message routing.
  • Active Directory (AD) and domain management.
  • Azure DevOps.
  • AWS experience.
  • Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
  • Experience working directly with clients and handling technical issues promptly.
