We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key part of our finance department, handling the financial operations for our outsourcing and recruitment services. You will manage the entire financial life cycle, from daily transactions and general ledger management to tax compliance and payroll. This position requires someone with a high degree of integrity and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Ledger Management: Take full ownership of the general ledger, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all financial data. This includes preparing and posting accurate and timely journal entries, and performing regular reconciliations.
  • Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and file all required monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports, including Value Added Tax (VAT), withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
  • Ensure the company's financial practices are in full compliance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist with tax audits and prepare all necessary documentation for review by the tax authorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with new tax laws and regulations in Egypt to ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Manage the entire payroll process for all outsourced employees working at various client companies, ensuring accurate calculations for social and medical insurance deductions.
  • Generate and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Track and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable on a day-to-day basis.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and other financial inquiries.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience as a General Accountant, preferably with experience in a BPO, outsourcing, or recruitment agency.
  • Experience in payroll accounting is a MUST.
  • Proven experience with Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, to handle professional correspondence and emails.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
