Role Description:
The Export Manager is responsible for overseeing the export operations of the company, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and developing strategies to expand the company's presence in global markets. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to manage logistics and supply chain operations effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development:
Develop and implement export strategies to increase market share in international markets.
Identify potential markets and conduct feasibility studies to assess opportunities.
2. Market Research and Analysis:
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform export strategies.
Conduct risk assessments related to international trade, including political, economic, and cultural factors.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, and documentation requirements.
Stay updated on changes in trade laws and regulations in target markets.
4. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners.
Negotiate contracts and terms of sale, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
5. Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
Coordinate with logistics providers to manage shipping, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
Oversee inventory management and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
6. Sales and Marketing Support:
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and strategies for international markets.
Assist in setting pricing strategies based on market conditions and cost structures.
7. Performance Monitoring:
Track and report on export performance metrics, providing insights to senior management.
Evaluate the effectiveness of export strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
- B.A in International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications in international trade or export management preferred.
- Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in export management or international sales, with a proven track, relevant industry preferred.
- In-depth understanding of international trade laws, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with logistics, shipping, and supply chain management.
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to work effectively in diverse international environments.
