We are looking for a
highly skilled Senior Backend Developer (PHP / Laravel)
to join our team and work on a
large-scale ride-hailing platform
similar to
InDriver / Uber
.

This role is ideal for a
senior-level engineer
with strong experience in building
scalable, real-time backend systems
for transportation or delivery applications.

    Senior only (Mid-level profiles will not be considered)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using
    Laravel
  • Build and optimize
    RESTful APIs
    for mobile applications (User & Driver apps)
  • Handle complex business logic related to:
  • Trip lifecycle
  • Real-time tracking
  • Pricing & bidding
  • Wallets & transactions
  • Improve backend performance, scalability, and security
  • Review, refactor, and optimize existing backend codebase
  • Collaborate closely with mobile developers and product team
  • Ensure system stability and production readiness

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience
    in PHP / Laravel (Senior level is a must)
  • Proven experience working on
    ride-hailing, delivery, or logistics systems
  • Strong experience building
    high-performance REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of
    real-time systems
  • Experience with:
  • MySQL
  • Redis
  • Queues & background jobs
  • Authentication & authorization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clean code mindset
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the backend

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

  • Previous work on systems similar to
    Uber / InDriver / Careem
  • Experience with maps & location-based services
  • Knowledge of system optimization and scaling
  • Experience reviewing and refactoring large legacy codebases
