BIM Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Project Estimation

• Develop BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) tailored to as-built modeling projects using laser scanning data.

• Define BIM workflows, standards, and protocols for high-accuracy scan-to-BIM conversions.

• Estimate project timelines, resources, and budget for BIM integration in engineering projects.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to align BIM strategies with project goals and digital transformation initiatives.

1. Managing Projects (Schedules, Reporting, Risks, etc.)

a. BIM Strategy & Digital Transformation

• Implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for as-built modeling based on laser scanning.

• Establish BIM standards, workflows, and compliance with ISO 19650 and PAS 1192.

• Lead digital transformation efforts, integrating BIM models into asset management and facility operations.

b. Laser Scanning & As-Built Data Integration

• Oversee processing and validation of laser scan data (point clouds) into accurate as-built BIM models.

• Ensure alignment between scan data and BIM deliverables, preventing discrepancies.

• Manage clash-free model integration across disciplines using Navisworks and BIM 360.

c. Project Coordination & BIM Model Management

• Lead BIM coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

• Ensure seamless integration of as-built models with ongoing engineering modifications.

• Manage multi-discipline BIM models for structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical documentation.

• Oversee digital handover processes, ensuring as-built models support maintenance and operations.

d. BIM Technology & Automation

• Supervise BIM software usage (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Dynamo, Bentley, Tekla, Recap, Cyclone, PointCab).

• Develop automated workflows for scan-to-BIM modeling, clash detection, and object classification.

• Integrate advanced technologies (VR, AR, AI-driven BIM analysis, and Digital Twins).

e. Training & Quality Control

• Conduct BIM training programs for engineers and modeling teams.

• Oversee QA/QC checks for as-built models, ensuring precision and compliance.

• Manage clash detection, coordination reviews, and model auditing processes.

• Maintain digital archives of BIM models and project documentation.

f. Others

• Oversee BIM project schedules, ensuring timely execution of as-built modeling and digital transformation.

• Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, and project managers.

• Manage risks associated with scan-to-BIM workflows, ensuring accuracy, model integrity, and compliance.

• Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and generate reports for BIM performance evaluation.

• Facilitate clash detection and resolution using Navisworks, Solibri, and BIM 360.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 19650, PAS 1192, and other BIM industry standards.

1. Delivery Management

• Ensure precise delivery of as-built BIM models, integrating laser scanning data with engineering designs.

• Supervise model validation, quality control, and final handover of digital assets to clients.

• Support digital twin implementation for asset management and facility operations.

• Provide training and mentorship to BIM teams, optimizing workflows for efficiency and innovation.

• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure BIM models serve operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination or management, preferably in as-built modeling and laser scanning integration.

• Strong background in AEC industry workflows.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in BIM and laser scanning software:

o Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Recap, Cyclone, PointCab, BIM 360, Bentley, Tekla

o Dynamo, Python (for automation and scripting)

• Advanced knowledge of clash detection & coordination workflows.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

• Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration.

• Ability to train and mentor teams on advanced BIM methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making.
