Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a SQL Database Administrator based in Alexandria, Egypt. The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing organizational databases to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Daily tasks include database design, installation, and configuration, as well as implementing backup and recovery procedures. Troubleshooting database issues, managing data integration, and monitoring replication processes are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Database Administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL databases.
  • Experience with Database Design and an understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
  • Strong skills in Troubleshooting database issues and ensuring performance optimization.
  • Understanding of Replication processes and their implementation to maintain database redundancy.
  • Familiarity with various databases and related tools or utilities is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working in the healthcare industry or managing hospital databases is a plus.
