Job Purpose:

The Ecommerce Operations Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of all operational activities across the online sales cycle. This role oversees order processing, inventory accuracy, logistics coordination, and team performance, while driving continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the ecommerce operations team, ensuring productivity and accountability.
  • Allocate daily tasks and manage shift planning based on workload.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance
  • Manage shift planning and resolve operational issues.
  • Optimize delivery operations to reduce costs and improve speed.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate online inventory updates.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to avoid stock-outs or overselling.
  • Track product availability trends and support demand planning.
  • Monitor platform performance (order flow, payment issues, customer experience).
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions.
  • Oversee daily online orders from placement to final delivery.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, order errors, or customer complaints.
  • Review pending, canceled, and returned orders and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage relationships with courier companies and monitor their performance.
  • Ensure compliance with delivery timelines and service standards.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and reverse logistics processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in ecommerce operations.
  • Proven experience in leading an operations team.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, order cycles, and logistics workflows.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
