The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow. This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise. Lastly, where appropriate this candidate will track 1099s and create a report with related information at year end.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify vendor invoices related to construction and development projects.
  • Match purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts to invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and site teams to validate invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments (checks, wire transfers, etc.) in accordance with payment terms
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
  • Monitor aging reports and assist in managing cash flow related to payables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 1 - 3 years in accounting or related field
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
  • Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
