Mechanical Maintenance Section Head

Job Purpose:

Lead the mechanical maintenance and installation teams to achieve and apply the policies, procedures and objectives of the maintenance department and the company.

Key Accountabilities:

• Following up of Implementation of occupational safety, health and environmental standards.

• Supports the implementation of the Ahram Manufacturing System (AMS).

• Distribute the work of maintenance department section heads and engineers and determining their responsibilities.

• Review the training plans of his subordinates to develop their skills.

• Encourage maintenance workers to participate in continuous improvement and provide new ideas and innovation.

• Working on periodic evaluation of his subordinates and reviewing the periodic evaluation of the performance of the employees in the maintenance departments.

• Support the implementation of daily production plans on production operations centers.

• Participating in setting the annual budget for maintenance expenses such as spare parts, services, external operation, energy consumption, infrastructure projects and installations.

• Participating in Supervision on infrastructure projects and new projects in the group's factories.

• Set a system to follow up on the implementation of repair requests on different production sections with the aim of achieving rapid response and quality of repair.

• Set a system to follow up Purchasing orders for different production centers in order to achieve rapid response.

• Following up to measure performance rates for technicians, analyze the causes of deviations from required performance rates and following up the actions plans for correction.

• Following up to record and study the history of machines in terms of spare parts consumption and failure rates in order to improve performance and reduce costs.

• Working with production department to analyze the efficiency of the machines and take the necessary measures to raise them to standard levels.

• Set and implement preventive maintenance plans for equipment with the greatest quality and minimum time possible to maintain KPI performance measurement rates.

• Study the consumption of energy in the plant and take the necessary actions to rationalize in cooperation with different departments.

• Ensure the maintaining of equipment, good operating and effective communication with production department to reduce breakdowns, speed repair and achieve preventive maintenance plans.

• Review the needs of the maintenance departments of the equipment, tools and supplies needed for work and set the annual budget for it.

• Calculating maintenance costs, consumption rates for spare parts and tools.

• Set a system to rationalize the consumption of spare parts and use parts that conform to the specifications of the original product in order to prolong life and reduce cost.

• Cooperating with other departments in problem solving, performance development, continuous improvement and future plans.

• Analyzing the breakdowns, finding the root causes of it, setting corrective actions that prevent their recurrence and setting in preventive measures not to occur in similar places.

• Following up the implementation and development of TPM.

• Learn about all maintenance department programs and courses of AMS.

• Carry out all the special tasks required of him according to the vision of his direct manager within the framework of the needs of maintenance department tasks to achieve the goals.

• View performance rates of equipment periodically to his subordinates.

• Manage the projects related to machinery and infrastructure for electricity in al-Ahram plant

• supervises the engineers in the maintenance departments and follow- up the rest of the department.

Qualifications Required: EXPERIENCE: Practical experience in maintenance for at least 10 years in factories.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
