As we continue to expand our operations and prepare for the launch of a new manufacturing facility, we are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Accounts Section Head to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the financial framework of a company on a significant growth trajectory.

Position Summary

The Accounts Section Head will lead our accounting department, ensuring the integrity of all financial operations. This role is critical for managing everything from daily accounting and industrial cost control to financial reporting and tax compliance. You will be instrumental in leveraging our Microsoft Dynamics ERP system to its full potential and providing key financial insights to support strategic decision-making during this exciting phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Accounting Operations:
  • Oversee and manage all daily accounting activities, including AP/AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and expense control.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the timely preparation of accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).
  • Manage cash flow, including debtor and creditor accounts, to optimize the company's working capital.
  • Industrial Cost Accounting:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust cost accounting system to accurately track product costs.
  • Analyze variances between standard and actual costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Closely monitor the costs of raw materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
  • ERP System Management (Microsoft Dynamics):
  • Champion the use of Microsoft Dynamics (F&O or BC), ensuring the team utilizes its financial modules to maximum effect.
  • Customize and develop insightful financial reports from the ERP system to meet evolving business needs.
  • Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure full compliance with Egyptian tax laws, including the timely preparation and filing of VAT, withholding, and corporate income tax returns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tax audits and communications with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
  • Team Leadership & Strategic Reporting:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present analytical financial reports to senior management, providing data-driven insights to guide strategic planning and budgeting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Experience:
  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Accounting Supervisor, Section Head).
  • Essential: Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial company.
  • Essential: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Expert-level knowledge of industrial cost accounting principles.
  • Strong command of Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
