Role Description

The Assistant Chief Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Sharm El Sheikh. This role is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in managing day-to-day maintenance and engineering tasks across the property. Key responsibilities include supervising equipment maintenance, addressing operational issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and overseeing projects such as repairs and installations. The Assistant Chief Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team and other departments to ensure the resort operates efficiently and meets its high standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and general building maintenance
  • Experience with project management, troubleshooting, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies
  • Proficiency in using engineering tools, equipment, and computer systems for maintenance planning
  • Effective leadership, team management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage time and resources
  • Commitment to safety protocols and environmental standards
  • Bachelor's degree or certification in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is an advantage
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
