Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Engineer at Sharm Plaza Hotel & Resort, located in Sharm El Sheikh. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring the proper maintenance and functioning of all hotel facilities and systems. This includes managing a team of engineers, planning and executing preventative maintenance programs, addressing guest concerns promptly, and coordinating with other departments to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality maintenance and engineering management
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems
  • Team leadership and staff management skills
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance programs and safety protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and guest service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications and degrees in engineering or related field
  • Experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in project management and budget control
