About the Company

EcoLife is a growing engineering consultancy focused on sustainable design, cleanroom & pharmaceutical facility engineering, energy modelling, and BIM services.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical design activities, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high-quality design outputs that align with project goals and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise mechanical design processes from concept through construction documents.

· Perform and review mechanical calculations, system designs, and technical reports.

· Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

· Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, electrical, structural, etc.) for integrated design.

· Mentor and guide junior engineers and design team members.

· Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

· Interface with clients, attend design meetings, and support business development when needed.

· Oversee quality assurance and control procedures within the mechanical design scope.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design for HVAC, FF & PL (preferably in consultancy).

· Proficient in mechanical software (e.g., HAP, Elite).

· Excellent command of AutoCAD & Revit – mandatory.

· Strong experience with BIM coordination and tools like Navisworks – preferred.

· Knowledge of pharmaceutical/cleanroom facility design – a plus.

· LEED GA certification – preferred.

· Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
