The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our growing engineering team in a hybrid work environment based in New Cairo. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a market-leading platform that directly impacts thousands of automotive businesses and their customers.

As a key member of our development team, you'll play a crucial role in architecting, building, and scaling our workshop management system using modern PHP practices and the Laravel ecosystem.

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Development: Design and implement scalable, maintainable PHP applications using Laravel framework and Blade templating

Database Design & Optimization: Create efficient database schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity across multi-tenant environments

API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support mobile applications and third-party integrations

Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, well-documented code following SOLID principles and modern PHP standards (PSR-12)

Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement caching strategies, database optimization, and code improvements

Collaborative Development: Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow developers in an agile environment

Mentorship: Guide junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Technical Challenges You'll Tackle

Multi-tenancy architecture for thousands of concurrent workshop operations

Real-time inventory synchronization across multiple locations

Complex reporting systems with advanced analytics capabilities

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

5+ years of professional PHP development experience with demonstrated expertise

Expert-level Laravel knowledge including Eloquent ORM, Artisan, Queues, and Events

Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns

Database proficiency with MySQL/PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design

Version control mastery using Git in collaborative environments

API development experience with RESTful services and JSON handling

Problem-solving excellence with strong analytical and debugging skills

Technical Skills We Value

Frontend capabilities in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks , React)

Laravel ecosystem expertise including Livewire, Nova, Horizon, Telescope

Testing proficiency with PHPUnit, Feature/Unit testing, and TDD practices

DevOps knowledge including Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/DigitalOcean)

Performance optimization experience with Redis, Memcached, and database tuning

Security awareness including authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices
