Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Accountant based in Cairo, Egypt. The Chief Accountant will oversee and manage all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities also include monitoring compliance with financial policies and regulations, performing reconciliations, and supporting audits. The role requires leadership in guiding the accounting team and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial activities.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, auditing practices, and accounting principles
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with accounting software and tools used for financial management
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor an accounting team
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus
- Experience in the manufacturing or electrical supplies industry is highly advantageous
