Job Title: Production Planner

A leading company in textile is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their manufacturing team, responsible for optimizing production efficiency and ensuring that production schedules align with demand forecasts. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to facilitate seamless production processes, manage material requirements, and develop effective strategies for maximizing productivity while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Production Schedules: Create and manage detailed production schedules based on customer orders and forecasts, ensuring timely completion of products to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring that adequate stock is available to support production without incurring excess inventory costs.

  • Coordination with Departments: Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure that necessary materials are available, and communication flows effectively across departments.

  • Analyze Production Data: Utilize production data and analytics to track progress against goals, identify trends or bottlenecks, and provide insights for making informed decisions.

  • Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and resource utilization, making recommendations for adjustments as needed to meet future production demands.

  • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the production planning framework.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on production planning metrics and key performance indicators to management for review and decision-making.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or a related field, preferably in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize production processes.

  • Proficiency in Planning Software: Familiarity with production planning software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Excel) to manage schedules and inventory effectively.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Interpersonal Skills: A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration across functional teams.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges in production.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
