Job Description:

As a Senior Procurement Engineer (MEP), you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) materials and equipment for construction projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for MEP materials and equipment

- Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships

- Review project plans and specifications to determine material requirements and provide cost estimates

- Prepare and issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules

- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and new products

- Coordinate with project team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project deadlines

- Monitor and track project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations

- Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff

- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on procurement progress

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry

- Strong knowledge of MEP materials and equipment

- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software

- Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
