The Mechanical Site Engineer oversees and coordinates mechanical works at the project site, ensuring installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities are executed according to design specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation, fabrication, erection, and testing of mechanical equipment and systems (piping, HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing, rotating/static equipment, etc.).
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings before and during execution.
  • Prepare daily/weekly work schedules and allocate manpower and resources.
  • Conduct inspections of mechanical installations and ensure workmanship quality.
  • Ensure site activities comply with HSE rules, regulations, and safe work practices.
  • Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all activities follow project drawings, method statements, and international standards.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, subcontractors, and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical site work (Construction, MEP, HVAC, Oil & Gas, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as piping, HVAC, rotating/static equipment, pumps, compressors, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
