Overview

The Account Engineer acts as the bridge between the client, the design/engineering team, and project execution. They are responsible for understanding client requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. This role combines
technical engineering expertise
with
account management skills
to maintain client satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the
    main technical point of contact
    for assigned clients and projects.
  • Review client requirements, specifications, and contracts, ensuring they are technically feasible.
  • Prepare and deliver
    technical proposals, quotations, and project documentation
    .
  • Coordinate between clients and internal design/engineering teams to ensure alignment.
  • Supervise execution progress and resolve any technical issues on-site or during implementation.
  • Support the sales/account management team by providing
    engineering input during client meetings
    .
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to avoid overruns.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and client expectations.
  • Provide
    post-project technical support
    and assist in warranty/maintenance phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural depending on the specialization).
  • 2–5 years of experience in engineering, project coordination, or account engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of technical drawings, design processes, and engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (to liaise between clients and technical teams).
  • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, or discipline-specific tools).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in interior design, construction, or architecture industries is a plus.
