Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies, procedures, and processes that ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective medication use in compliance with Egyptian regulatory authorities and international standards.
  2. Oversee competency programs for pharmacists, ensuring all licenses and certifications are valid and up to date.
  3. Define and monitor roles, responsibilities, and performance of all pharmacy staff; conduct timely evaluations and provide professional coaching.
  4. Ensure all pharmacy locations maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and documentation to allow prompt retrieval of records.
  5. Establish strict controls and accountability for all medications stored and dispensed, ensuring patient safety.
  6. Direct and oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of stock counts and related processes.
  7. Maintain professional competence with up-to-date knowledge in medication safety, sterile compounding, controlled substances, infection control, pharmacy security, and patient confidentiality.
  8. Prepare staff schedules and manage workload to maintain quality service delivery.
  9. Actively participate in corporate and foundation committees and meetings as required.
  10. Provide direct support and cover for pharmacists and technicians as needed.
  11. Implement clinical programs focused on rational and cost-effective drug therapy, identifying and addressing inappropriate high-cost drug use.
  12. Ensure compliance with required testing and assessment protocols related to sterile compounding, hand hygiene, aseptic techniques, and IV room cleanliness.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Proven Experience 15 years, More than 5 years in Managing a Chain of Pharmacies
  3. Proven experience managing multiple pharmacy locations or a pharmacy chain.
  4. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical programs.
  6. Proficient in pharmacy management software and inventory control systems.
