Mechanical Technical Office Engineer

- Prepare and review
mechanical shop drawings
(HVAC, plumbing, firefighting). - Prepare
quantity take-offs
, BOQs, and cost-related breakdowns for mechanical systems. - Review project specifications, design drawings, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with
site engineers
, consultants, and other disciplines (electrical/architectural). - Prepare and review
material submittals
and ensure compliance with project standards. - Provide technical support during project execution and resolve design-related issues.
- Participate in
value engineering
studies to optimize cost and performance. - Prepare as-built drawings and ensure they match actual site execution.
- Follow up on RFI submissions and approvals with consultants.
- Ensure all technical office deliverables meet project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
. - 3–7 years of experience in technical office work within construction/MEP contracting companies.
- Excellent knowledge of
HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
. - Proficiency in
AutoCAD
; knowledge of
Revit
is an advantage. - Strong skills in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and technical codes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
