Translation Project Management:

  • Manage translation projects (numerous files, multi-lingual) from start to finish, handing over to the Senior PM for sign off.
  • Follow the translation project management process.
  • Fully assess the translation project and format files ready for translation, etc.
  • Meet tight deadlines to ensure that the translation is completed and ready for signing by the agreed time schedule.
  • Use Translation Memory software as appropriate, updating the Translation Memory database at the end of projects.

Translators and Revising / Vendor Management:

  • Full responsibility for selecting translators, revisers, and reviewers who meet the company's expectations.
  • Manage the admin process
  • Communicate with translators and revisers
  • Support the translators and revisers in their enquiries regarding the translation project and TM software.
  • Research any translation queries, etc.

Translation Memory and other software:

  • Support the Senior Translation Project Manager in growing and developing Translation Memory databases

Quality Process:

  • Check each translation project using quality checks after revising stage, before hand over for sign off.

Job Requirements

  • Translation degree - Master's degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to clearly present the localization life-cycle to clients
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Proven abilities in project planning, resource management, and risk management
  • Computer-literate (in particular in Excel), and able to develop knowledge of CAT tools
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
  • Self-starter and proactive
  • Knowledge and eagerness to learn and identify new technologies and new tools
