Role Description

The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Alexandria, Egypt. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, overseeing compliance with local regulations, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. Additional tasks include budget forecasting, auditing activities, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports for management to support strategic decision-making. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Proven experience in reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and conducting audits
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial tools
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of local accounting standards and regulatory compliance procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage
  • Experience in the maritime or shipping industry is a plus
