Egypt Education Platform is excited to announce an opening for a Secondary Science Teacher for the Academic Year at GEMS British International school of Madinaty. We are looking for a motivated educator who is passionate about engaging students in the fascinating world of science and inspiring them to explore and understand complex scientific concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality science lessons that adhere to the British curriculum, promoting student interest and engagement in the subject.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods, including hands-on experiments and interactive activities, to enhance students' understanding and skills.
  • Assess, monitor, and document students' academic performance, providing timely feedback and support to nurture their scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, collaboration, and a willingness to learn.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any needs for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the science curriculum and participate in environmental projects and extracurricular activities that promote science education.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with educational trends and best practices in science instruction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in secondary science, with proven expertise in engaging students effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of the British secondary science curriculum and effective instructional methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching science and inspiring student curiosity.
  • Commitment to collaborative practice and continuous professional growth.
