Job Purpose:

To support the Accounting Manager in supervising all accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reports. The Assistant Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting activities, manages the general ledger, coordinates audits, and assists in improving financial systems and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and review the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory accounting.
  2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure compliance with
    Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS)
    and company policies.
  3. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  4. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation and reports.
  5. Review and monitor tax compliance (income tax, VAT, WHT, and social insurance).
  6. Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances against actual results.
  7. Maintain proper internal control procedures and ensure accurate documentation of accounting transactions.
  8. Train and supervise junior accountants to ensure accuracy and consistency of work.
  9. Collaborate with other departments (purchasing, production, and sales) to ensure proper cost allocation and financial accuracy.
  10. Identify areas for process improvement and participate in ERP system enhancements or implementation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in
    Accounting or Finance
    ;
    CPA / CMA
    certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
    7–15 years
    in accounting or finance, including at least
    3 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role
    within
    manufacturing or industrial companies
    .
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of
    Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS)
    and
    local tax laws
    .
  • Experience with
    ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Odoo / Microsoft Dynamics)
    .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Excel
    and financial reporting tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
