Job Overview

A leading company in textile industry is seeking Health & Safety Officer to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and to promote a safe working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, specifically within the textile sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits in the textile manufacturing plant.
  • Identify potential hazards in the workplace and implement appropriate preventative measures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and action plans.
  • Maintain records of health and safety training, inspections, and incidents.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report non-compliance to management.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer, preferably in the textile or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.

Requirements:
