Job Purpose

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications across Floward's platforms. This role leads mobile and API testing, test automation, and quality practices across engineering teams. It supports continuous delivery through robust test strategies, while also mentoring junior QA engineers and enhancing QA frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

  • Design and execute test cases and scripts for functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of UI, mobile, and API layers using both manual and automated testing.

Mobile & Automation Testing

  • Lead mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms.
  • Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and API automation tools.

Collaboration & Agile Integration

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning with QA estimations.

Continuous Integration & Test Environment

  • Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Git.
  • Support performance and database testing using SQL, Postgres, or MongoDB.

QA Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor junior QA engineers in best practices and automation scripting.
  • Monitor test results and quality metrics, recommending continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education
:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience
:

  • Minimum 4+ years in QA, with 1+ year in test automation.
  • Experience in mobile testing, database validation, and performance testing.
  • Proficient in Agile environments with exposure to TDD and BDD.

Technical Skills
:

  • Tools: Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Jenkins, Git
  • Languages: Java, Python
  • Databases: SQL, Postgres, MongoDB
  • Test Methodologies: Functional, Regression, Smoke, and UAT

Certifications
:

  • ISTQB CTFL or equivalent required

Soft Skills
:

  • Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
