Job Summary:

Installs, configures, and supports company products at customer sites and in the lab. The role includes testing system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, delivering training, and ensuring successful deployment as per project requirements. The engineer works closely with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install products, demos, and POCs at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services and Software Engineering teams to learn product configurations in test labs and at customer sites.
  • Participate in a 24/7 technical support team as needed.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure products, demos, and POCs in the engineering lab and at customer locations.
  • Perform functional and system performance testing as per the acceptance document.
  • Troubleshoot software installation issues and hardware problems when applicable.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Work with Windows Server services such as LDAP and FTP.
  • Perform MS SQL Server installations and basic SQL administration (running scripts, backup/restore, replication).
  • Work with virtualization technologies including VMware, ESXi, and Hyper-V.
  • Interact with web servers such as IIS, Apache Tomcat, or WebSphere.
  • Escalate incidents or irregularities to the Senior PS Engineer.
  • Deliver final application setup as per the acceptance document.
  • Conduct technical training for clients and provide all required technical information.
  • Review the acceptance document checklist with the customer and obtain their approval.
  • Prepare accurate and professional reports on technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for customer support as per the SLA.
  • Provide technical support 24/7 when required.
  • Review and study current product features and versions.
  • Attend customer meetings for assigned projects.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the direct manager within the department's scope.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Professional Services or a related field.
  • Strong background in operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks.
  • Advanced hardware/software installation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of database administration.
  • Basic knowledge of telecommunications and VoIP is a plus.
  • SQL Server installation and interaction.
  • Apache Tomcat or other web server experience.
  • Network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
  • Project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent command of English.
