Overview:

Al Riyadh Travel is seeking a skilled API Integration & Optimization Specialist with experience in the travel and tourism industry. This role is key to managing and enhancing our API connectivity with global suppliers, ensuring seamless system performance, and strengthening supplier relationships through effective technical collaboration and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain API integrations with key travel suppliers (GDS, hotels, airlines, DMCs) and technology partners.
  • Ensure smooth data flow and synchronization between internal platforms (ERP, CRM, B2C/B2E) and external systems.
  • Monitor and optimize API performance, latency, and error handling to ensure high stability and reliability.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for diagnosing and resolving API-related issues with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Maintain detailed API documentation, workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Implement and enforce data security and compliance standards (PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Collaborate with developers QA, and product teams to define integration requirements and support new system features.
  • Coordinate with supplier technical teams to manage API updates, upgrades, and service interruptions.
  • Lead negotiations with airlines, hotels, destination management companies, and service providers to secure competitive pricing, commissions, and contract terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure successful integrations and performance optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for API enhancements, automation, and process improvement to increase efficiency and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in API integration within the travel industry (OTA, GDS, or travel tech environment).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and XML.
  • Experience using Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and performance optimization.
