Role Description

The Senior Accounting Team Leader will oversee and coordinate daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with both Egyptian and UAE financial regulations. The role involves guiding and supporting the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and fostering continuous improvement in accounting processes. The preferred candidate will possess previous experience working in Dubai and demonstrate a thorough understanding of UAE accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
:

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and analyses in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Oversee revenue projections, expenditure forecasting, and assist in budget development and monitoring.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate and support the preparation for annual audits, liaising with auditors as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to local (Egyptian) and UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor laws across the team's functions.
  • Investigate audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues, implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee the preparation of local and special tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Drive the development, enhancement, and implementation of accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Mentor and train accounting staff to enhance team performance and professional growth.
  • Perform and oversee other accounting duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements
:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Prior experience working in Dubai or managing accounting operations for UAE entities.
  • Deep knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax laws, and labor regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
