Role Overview

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across Kashier's private cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data in line with financial sector standards and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain security controls across private cloud and datacenter infrastructure.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security reviews for systems and applications.
  • Implement and enforce information security policies and standards aligned with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Lead or support incident response investigations, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Administer and fine-tune network, endpoint, and application security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and WAF.
  • Support secure configurations, encryption and key management, VPN, and remote access solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure and DevOps teams to embed security best practices throughout the deployment lifecycle.
  • Contribute to security awareness programs, internal training, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in audit preparation and evidence collection for internal and external assessments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related IT security roles.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing security policies, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
  • Solid understanding of network, system, and application security principles.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and WAFs to strengthen perimeter and application defenses.
  • Strong knowledge of encryption, PKI, VPN, and secure remote access technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within regulated or financial environments.
  • Familiarity with compliance programs such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
  • Exposure to SIEM or EDR tools for monitoring and threat detection.
