1. Country Office Support
Provide technical assistance and backstopping support to Country Offices, with a primary focus on Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine, and secondary engagement with Iraq and Syria.
Update on regular basis the SP CO mapping based on updates received from COs and during bi-monthly catch up calls.
Contribute to ongoing technical discussions, briefings, and documentation related to social protection programme design and implementation.
Continue to participate in internal coordination meetings and provide timely follow-up on pending deliverables and requests from CO.s.
2. Thematic and Country-Specific Tasks
Egypt: Continue to Support the CO in necessary 1,000 Days program documentation and South-South cooperation activities.
Jordan: Continue to assist the CO in technical inputs on safety nets, nutrition-sensitive social protection, SRSP, and ongoing policy briefs.
Palestine: Continue to contribute to SRSP-related exchanges and disability inclusion in social protection.
Iraq and Syria: Maintain regular follow-up on knowledge products and coordination with CO focal points.
3. Research and Knowledge Management)
Continue the follow-up with the hub and provide inputs on the TRANSFORM SRSP module adaptation and inclusive SP guidance*.
Follow up with the Ukraine Co on finalizing the UISSS case study.
4. Regional Coordination and Partnerships
Continue to attend and represent Cairo Office in regional technical meetings and partner consultations as delegated.
Continue to follow up-on ongoing collaborations with partners such as the World Bank, UNICEF, and IFIs as relevant.
Regular meetings with MPC and GHQ SP Unit (Rome) FP.s for the region.
Support regional-level knowledge exchange and documentation initiatives.
Start of the Assignment: any day during the week of the 14th of September. This will be in view of the Reg SP NOB (incumbent) leaving on the 18th of September and allowing to have the handover process in place.
End of the Assignment: 31st of December.
