Job Purpose:

The
Risk Policy Officer
is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining Souhoola's risk policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal risk frameworks and regulatory requirements. The role plays a key part in assessing risk exposures, supporting credit risk management, and ensuring the company's risk appetite is properly defined and adhered to across all business functions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain risk management policies and frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Support in defining the company's risk appetite and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and recommend risk policy adjustments based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with business, operations, and collections teams to ensure proper implementation of risk controls and mitigation measures.
  • Monitor adherence to risk policies across departments and identify potential gaps or emerging risks.
  • Conduct periodic policy reviews and propose enhancements to reflect market changes and business evolution.
  • Support the development and validation of credit scoring models and risk segmentation strategies.
  • Prepare and present risk policy reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments, market trends, and best practices in consumer finance risk management.
  • Assist in training staff on risk policies, frameworks, and compliance procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • 3–5 years of experience in Risk Management, preferably in Consumer Finance, Banking, or FinTech.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, operational risk, and policy development.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to consumer finance in Egypt.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk identification.
