As a solution presales consultant, you have the opportunity to join our growing project Migrations and assessment team. Become a member of our collaborative and supportive work environment and help us drive innovation
**What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**:
- Articulate the value propositions and technical concepts of the VMware Product and Services portfolio
- Participate in and support End Customer sales call and proposal creation, SOW and LOW.
- Communicate regular business updates to Sales Segments and Leadership, including monthly and quarterly dashboards illustrating performance on important metrics
- Develop success stories and communicate top wins across broader sales teams
- Build relationships and increase the team share of mind through PS opportunity response frameworks
- Contribute to the preparation of multiple white papers
- As a solution presales consultant, Within 90 days of employment, you will successfully develop and maintain projects intake including charter, scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, resource plans, task dependencies, schedule, open issues, risk assessment, management, and mitigation plans across multiple workstreams.
- Within 120 days of employment, you will develop change management skills as you work to quickly define and manage overall solution risks and take corrective action in a proactive manner to mitigate risks and prevent issues.
**What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**
- Required to work with Technical team to develop level of efforts for VMware migration project for VMware NSX, VCF and vRA product line.
- Required to work with Project management and Account to prepare SoW document and follow-up
- Need to understand VMware internal tools and documentation to prepare LoE,SoW and other service deliverable document template
- Progress through your coaching plan and build you knowledge of VMware’s solution principal and presales methodology and technologies
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding the status of complex large-scale projects - schedule, budget, progress to date, risks etc. - to relevant stakeholders
- Manage post-deal qualification and applicability to execution teams’ scope.
- Manage various stakeholders ranging from customers, account teams, VMware field consultants and project managers, external partners, support, product/tools from a technical perspective
- Follow VMware’s project management methodology and ensure that projects adhere to the defined guidelines and stage gate process
- Engage with Sales and Account teams to identify/drive account growth opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement of project processes - methodology, templates, best practices etc. based on lessons learned from projects
- Conduct business meetings with customers and internal stakeholders in English and French, Spanish, Dutch, German or Italian depending on your regional alignment and native language capabilities
